Interesting design to start the day!

The send design is much more interesting, especially the centre bit.

I love the one above!

Neat and tidy and would look great on a bed in just about any colour combination. Remember that the trick with getting good results with any of the Log Cabin variations is to get the contrast right.

Interesting design to finish this weeks collection of Log Cabin designs.

That is all for this week’s Log Cabin retreat, but there will be more next week.

Mid week again. I guess it happens a couple of days after Monday, and for me it is one way of keeping track of what day of the week it is, as they all feel a bit like Sunday in retirement.

Love the cross, not so impressed with the squares on each side, but sometime in the distant future I will show the new variation.

The one above is interesting, and it could be interesting to reverse the light and dark.

Love the one above … and an idea to replace those squares in the first design,

The last design for ...

Too much dark, though if it was on a bed a lot of the dark would be overhang or scrunched up at the bottom corners.

Interesting.

My first thought when I opened up this design, which has been locked away since it was created about five years ago is that it looks like something a computer programmer would use to illustrate some new program.

The blocks used in these designs include Log Cabin, Courthouse Steps and Curved Log Cabin (or Thick and Thin, TNT)

Christmas must be coming … I see bonbons in the last design in this weeks Log Cabin ...

Middle of another week already!

Second design is very interesting.

So is the next design!

Is it a four petal flower, or a propeller?

The one above might work with several colours instead of just two, but what colour combination?

I love the wavy border in the last Log Cabin design for this week.

As I added the deigns I thought the second would be my favourite, then the third, then the fourth … seeing them all together I have decided that that are equal winners.

More Log Cabin designs mid week, next week.

Interesting.

Love the second one!

The next one is neat and tidy.

The one above morphed into a Fishing Cabin project file.

The last design for this week’s mid week retreat is interesting … I am going to have a play to see what I can add to the project file for future posts.

Middle of another week, and at the rate life is speeding up, tomorrow could well be the middle of next week.

The first design for today is interesting.

I like the second.

Another interesting one.

Lots of interesting things happen when blocks are turned on point.

Another interesting one.

Saved my favourite for the day until last.

That is all for this week’s mini midweek retreat, but there will be another one next week, no matter how quickly that arrives!

Mid week again, and we are heading home after a week catching up with family and friends.

The first design for the day is neat and tidy, the second one is much more exciting!

The one above is one of the first times I saw fish in a Log Cabin design!

Interesting!

There’s those fish again!

That’s all for this week’s midweek retreat … but there will be more next week.

Time for a short break. this weeks selection of Log Cabin designs are set on point, and use a variety of the Log Cabin variations. I am wondering if I could use the outer part of the first one as a border around some applique blocks.

Love the not very pointy star in the one above!

And the one above is very interesting.

Another very interesting design.

I just noticed that there are five different borders created with Log Cabin block variations in these five designs.

I have had my five minute break and spent it opening a new project ...
